Growing up in Chicago as a preteen in the 90s, life was nice, but in came the drug hustlers and gangsters, and being a street hustler started becoming the “in” thing to be. I blame it on NWA and all the “hood” movies that were coming out - Boyz N The Hood, Menace II Society. Soon I started seeing my fellow Hyper Color wearing brothers hang up their clothes for a new Raiders Starter jacket and a Raiders black hat. There was always one constant though - their kicks.
